Storm FC has partnered with Techne Futbol app to increase player contact time with the ball.

Techne Futbol is a mobile player app that give players weekly assignments, coach led homework and extra touches for players.

This year the club has invested heavily in player and coach development.

Players born in 2006 and younger will have access to the app free of charge. Coaches will be able to access the app through a coaches portal and monitor, or set assignments for their players.

We are excited to partner with Techne Futbol to bring another option for players to increase contact time with the ball. We hope to see improvement through its use in the coming months.

The app will allow players to compete with each of other in the club through a leader board as well as internationally.

The club has placed a lot of energy in to the improving support for players to develop and to further educate and develop out coaches.

Partnering with Techne Futbol is just one support system we have invested in. Coach Joe, a very experienced Scottish professional youth academy director, is consulting us in many ways to improve individual learning plans for players (ILPs).

The club has also partnered with Trace iD. This system is mandatory for our elite teams, but is also used for teams who's players want to evaluate performances. Coaches utilize the platform to develop effective training sessions from film evaluations.

Another important investment has been for our coaches. An English professional coach, Richard Smith, has numerous accolades and products on the market in the Coaching Education discipline. Coach Richard provides in person and online coaches professional development sessions (CPDs) to also aid in the development our coaches.

Coach Joe said, "I am excited for our players, parents and coaches to start exploring the Techne Futbol app. I believe that we will see improvements over the oncoming season, just through more contact time with the ball. Hearing many parents not know what to work with their kids at home on, Techne will help all parents through video learning and increase competition through leaderboards and homework. The best part is all players are able to use the app and develop from their own ability starting point. I'm proud to see that a club invests heavily in supporting players and coaching staff".

The club had been in conversations to partner with companies that can help us support our players and coaches development. Famer was one, but with Technes turn key solution to have enough content with the ability to start immediately was our decision for 2021-22 season.

Other partnerships to help our players range from league partnerships:

• Jungo with Elite Academy League (EA League). Jungo is a player college recruitment tool allowing players and coaches to connect.
  • In-Stat and Hudl League Exchange. Two platforms where DPL and EA League teams share game film. This is to support those coaches in evaluating upcoming opposition teams and design training sessions and tactics accordingly.
