Community

Storm FC has created a community arm for our members to embrace. We found that the players graduating to college were lacking in community service, we also recognized that the as a collective club we could help areas of the community by creating and establishing relationships.

Futbol In the Community

Futbol in the community is an iniative by Storm FC to help with community projects. In order to seperate the projects we have created five areas in which we work..

  • Health & Education
  • Social Inclusion
  • Disabilty
  • Community
  • JB6

Each area has a collection of Community projects. For Example, Social inclusion has a project called Midnight Soccer. We identify youth at risk through working with the Waxahachie Police community Officer and the School district to have a free just play soccer nights. This will give the kids something to do and to benefit from our guidance and other projects.

Storm FC Futbol in the Community aims to build better lives through sport and soccer. We use the power of sport to deliver a variety of inspiring education, health, disability, social inclusion and soccer programs in our community.

We aim to play a key role in our community, our staff donate their time to help make the community stronger and build lasting relationships.

Our work aims to ‘build better lives through sport’ and we continue to pioneer innovative, engaging and inspiring programmes for many hard to reach and disadvantaged young people in our community.

Using the significant expertise of our staff, the exciting and engaging Storm FC Club brand, alongside our committed and supportive players, we aim to have programs that consistently achieve amazing outcomes. We have already seen increased participation in high-quality sport, an improvement in health and well-being of participants, which contributes to a reduction in youth crime and anti-social behaviour. Our achievements are impressive and include some of the following highlights:

On average, we engage over 1,000 young people each year in a variety of different programs and activities.
We want to inspire and educate young people about the challenging world of business.
Our volunteering program engages our young athletes from diverse backgrounds. As a result, we created the ‘Investing in Volunteering’ accreditation, demonstrating our commitment in volunteering.
We aim to pilot Kickz, a project that aims to create stronger communities by developing the skills of young people, this initiative we hope will be one of our core projects.
